Tuesday, August 22 through Tuesday, August 29, 2017 in Santa Cruz, California, USA

The Thirty Meter Telescope International Observatory is hosting an 8-day workshop at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC), co-sponsored by the University of California Observatories. The workshop will include talks by TMT leaders on topics such as project management, hands-on activities to engage in authentic engineering practices and instrument design strategies, and multiple activities to gain experience with teamwork and collaboration. Participants will tour Lick Observatory and the UCSC Laboratory for Adaptive Optics. We are looking for astronomy and engineering graduate students and post-doctoral researchers who are interested in helping us shape our international training program for scientists and engineers in the TMT collaboration.
